My background includes developing thousands of databases for companies ranging in size from Fortune 500 organizations to individual entrepreneurs. I obtained my certification with ACT! in 1998 and became a Premier Trainer in 2003. I consider myself to be an extension of a client’s staff – a resource available when needed.
For a new client, the client’s business processes are reviewed along with their data needs and reporting requirements. From this, a new database is created and, if necessary, business processes are modified, which makes each database as unique as each client.
Companies and Individuals having Prospect/Customer database(s) usually require database customizations to make their databases more useful. This is accomplished by adding the necessary fields to their database and modifying the layout (screen display of the fields in the database) so that customers and prospects can easily be tracked.
Once a client has a database which suits their needs, I assist them with the importing of data into their database and train them on how best to utilize this powerful contact management tool – enabling them to become more efficient and successful.
My involvement with a client is a long-term relationship. After the initial customization and/or training, I provide phone support on an on-going basis and can assist with future upgrades. I prefer to train clients at their location, on their database. The success of a training session is measured by the amount of knowledge the student retains after training. Training sessions are kept to a maximum of 4 hours per set of students per day as students can only absorb so much detail at one sitting before additional information becomes a waste of time and money.
I support all versions of ACT! from ACT! 2000 (ACT! 5) to the current version. In addition, I support the ACT Links for various Sage accounting systems.
